joe; After you replace the core release the clamp on the bottom hose first. Then open the core's bleeder valve until you see coolant. That should get rid of the majority of air in the heater. Drive Safely & Good Luck Ken Lewis<Kernersville,NC>86 VW crewcab;60 T-5 Coupe
