I've painted the top of mine, and three other complete cars. I will be painting an MGB GT this summer, and plan to paint the rest of the van (sides) at that time too. The Vanagon will be the easiest of any I have painted, which include a '74 Westy (orange), '65 MGB (BRG), '78 Saab 99 (black). The painting is the easy part, it's the prep phase where all the work is. I have also prepped a '68 Westy for painting by Maaco years ago. I'll never do that again!

I have done it all up to now in my garage or driveway, but that is illegal now, so I will be renting a spray booth this summer.
