With all this talk about winter camping I can't help but to rave about the Thermal Systems Inc catalytic heater, the 6p12. I had this mounted in the rear cabinet. It is rated at just under 6000btu's. So far this has kept me warm at the ski hill. The coolest it has dipped to date is -14 degrees Celsius(its Canada ya know) with the interior temperature between 16-18 degrees above zero. The heater never cycled off during the night, any colder and who knows. This heater is vented to the outside so condensation is not an issue. The auxiliary battery(optima) and stock propane tank will keep things hummin along for the weekend without running out of either.(put an auxiliary tank on just in case) It is nice and quiet. I wanted the carver for the cleaner install, but so far I can't complain about the 6p12. Works like a hot damn.
