Yes, and with a reverse vector mechanism alla jet-ski designs, you wouldn't need brakes either. Then if you go to wings, you could trash all those heavy wheels and tires and big suspension arms for much lighter landing gear. You of course would then be relieved of the burdon of meeting NHTSA requirements 'cause you wouldn't be tied to the roads, but then you would HAVE to MAINTAIN the sucker according to FAA rules.
