Where does this wimpy image for my gender come from??! Not the Iditarod-winning women! Mink-lined ? not for my nether region! Which, BTW, is sufficiently well insulated not to require anything other than an unadorned bucket when I camp. Also, I believe the term "honey bucket "originated when the colonizing British were euphemistically referring to the use of human waste to fertilize crops in China. Buckets used overnight were carried out to the fields each morning. The need for coffee can be met with the Melita cone/drip method; does anyone know of a quick way to boil a cup of water without using the propane stove? I travel with a 100lb, lanky Chesapeake/Lab mix. She's hell on ducks, but too large to fit into the passenger seat. Has anyone else modified or arranged their van to better accomodate canine navigator? She adds considerable heat/H2O vapor. Vents are open at night. As for tent camping, sleeping on the ground, I have one comment-- skunks. Carol S Sussman, in south Jersey with one-dog 89 Westie.
