Had a T connector in the coolant system replaced on Friday. On both sides of my 84 just below the rear heater (underneath the van) there is a metal T connector that provides a pathway for coolant to reach the rear heater. Noticed some coolant on the garage floor (just what we all want to see) and on further inspection determined that it was from this connection.

Part from dealer was $6.00. I'm sure our list providers can beat that, The replacement part is heavy reinforced plastic instead of steel. My trusty mechanic showed me a small hole in the steel connector then proceeded to push his finger into the side making the hole about 1/2" in dia........... He said that I was a lucky boy and this time I was!!

Would be worth taking a look at your van to see how these T connectors look. It is a cheap fix especially if you do it yourself. (Not a fun project though!!!!!!)
