I had similar results. After the tranny swap, shifting into 2nd was difficult when the weather turned cooler with the dine GL-4 stuff. I put the Redline into the tranny about October and the cold shifting is not only possible, but smooth.

I ordered a case directly from Redline, except they recommended MT-90 instead of MTL for the Vanagon.
