I wrote Mecedes Benz of North America just out of curiosity ans asked them about their Camper.. this is the reply I got..

I have euro westy brochures w/ the vw "eurovan" and the westy conversion (assuming that who is doing the conversion) looks so similar it's scary- mind you the mercedes chassis looks quite familar too! hmm..
