Even though our beloved Vanagons have their own little idiosyncrasies and some parts are hard to find I still prefer it over D*dge or Chr*sler van any day. Lets compare interior space for a momment..

D*dge/Chr*sler Caravan TOTAL interior space is 142.9 cubic feet. They prolly included the glove compartment for the .9 :) Vanagon interior space BEHIND driver seat is 201 cubic feet.. not including driver/passenger area.

Thats almost 60 cubic feet larger!! What about that panoramic vista of a view too...

A very good friend of mine owns a Caravan.. I feel claustrophobic in it. Everytime we head out to do some scuba diving or camping, he offers to pay for gas to use my 87GL as our gear hauler.

87GL 87 Golf Diesel 95 Jetta GLX
