Sam,

I'd recommend you follow the idle troubleshooting sequence in the Bentley
manual, but if I had to guess I'd suggest the problem could be your
throttle switch. Easy to check for continuity with the throttle at idle, or
if you don't have a meter, put a jumper across the plug downstream of the
throttle switch with the engine idling fast, and see if the speed drops.
