3M makes some kind of clear stone chip protectant that applies to the surface of the vehicle. A super clearcoating if you will. Knowing 3M, it is probably a quality product that works as advertised.

You'll have to search their web site for the info. If I remember right, the original link was through this newgroup.

Whatever you find, please post the results to the list!
