Hello! I am looking into the purchase of an '87 Wolfsburg automatic which is 700+ miles away from me. It has an overheating problem which, unless corrected first, would prevent me from being able to drive it home. I would be moving it from the Washington DC area to the Boston area. If all goes well I plan to travel there to pick it up early next week. Whats the best method to tow or otherwise move a disabled vanagon over a distance like this? Does U Haul rent equipment to tow a vehicle of this size? What would it cost to have it transported by truck on a flatbed? Who would I contact to move a vehicle in this manner? Please p-mail me with suggestions/recommendations. Thanks Gary Gary McEachern, Reading Ma.
