HELP! No vanagon content. The wife starts up our 94 Camry yesterday. Car runs fine for a few minutes, then all hell breaks loose. I think the muffler has fallen off and tell her to shut the car off. I find instead that a plug has been blown completely out of the head. First to threads on the plug are buggered a little (they seem to be pushed back, that is as if they had been pushed INTO the head). Plug wouldn't thread back into the head. I tried another plug, no dice. I even bought some new plugs (just praying at that point), still no dice. The plug was otherwise normal. No electrode damage. Only the first two threads were clean to the metal. The rest of the threads were coated somewhat (looked just like the electrode and the insulation). I REALLY cannot afford a new head. I understand that I may be able to use a top on it. Or maybe a helicoil. Any wisdom from the list? Please respond pmail unless you think the concepts apply equally to a vanagon with the same problem. Sullenly submitted, Ray
