It's Fast German Auto, not Faster (although I don't think either version is an
accurate description). I haven't had problems with them really, but I do have
my complaints. I had work done there recently and everything seems fine, but
they were fairly relunctant on the customer service end. They never called me
back when they said they would, and they postponed the work several times for
what seemed to me to be suspect reasons.
Also, I've recently had problems with my idle. After I posted here and got a
few responses, the consensus was that I needed a new idle stablizer. I gave
Fast German Auto a call to see what they thought and about pricing, etc. The
guy put me on hold (presumably to find the price), came back and stated (with
a fair degree of certainty and despite my meager protests) that 85 Vanagons
don't have idle stabilizers. Needless to say, I won't be asking them for any
more help.
