This is simple. The american public, Myself being part of it, is not excepting of any "new" technology. This is very clear, if you ever studiy the history of the auto. There have been several vehicles over the years, that have failed, because of there "high tech" designs, only to see this high tech stuff, slowly make its way back to the public step by step. The analog gauges in GM cars are one of them right now. Most look like analog, but they are really volt meters, control by electronics because the digital dash in GM junk cars, was causing to much trouble, and the public would no longer buy "the digital dash" from GM. Many older sales and marketing people know this. The emtric system was know different. Take a butch, a mechanic, or a carpender. Do you think for one minuite they would like to see there suppliers, all of a sudden, one day talk to them in meters. Just an't gona happen.
