Subject: Apology for "Jap" comment
Comments: To: mruskin@pangea.ca
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I want to apologize for the "Jap Scrap" comment in my last post. I honestly didn't think that "Jap" was considered a racial slur. Those who know me on the List and in person can verify that I never use any of these slurs and actually take offense of them as well. I have several Japanese friends which I have great respect for, but this has never come up as a point of offense with them. I also have alot of respect for Japanese automobiles and how they have helped refine them (which has in some instances has prodded US and German automakers to follow suit).

I wouldn't have posted this but it was pointed out to me by a few list members, so I thought others were offended and just didn't say anything. Again, my humble apologies and this won't happen again.
