If you want to make Ice cream don't wreck your fridge, buy an old fashion ice cooled maker, or hunt your local thrift stores for a dorm-room type fridge and set it to the max cooling setting. You'll need A/C to make it work, but at least it will leave you with a still good westy fridge.
