Try removing the air intake boot from the engine and try cranking it. I have the same model and this is what worked when it would not start in cold damp condensing fog. Alex Dallas adallas@worldnet.att.net

Well I went out to push it to its proper parking spot, with my SO close behind. I decided to give it one last try, and IT STARTED! Perhaps it was just flooded? Or drying out the distributor cap a few minutes earlier had the desired effect? I hate not knowing for sure. Anyway, thanks to Per Lindgren & Alfred Bagdan for suggestions. The temp sensor tests O.K., Alfred... but you never know for sure.

>I forgot to say that it turns over fine, it just won't fire up.

My 83.5 1.9l liquid cooled Westy won't start. Tank is half full, gasline antifreeze used at last fill up, air and fuel filters were replaced in august, afm removed and tested yesterday - max resistance was 2400ohms at about 1/3 of travel. The van ran fine earlier today except for some cutting-out/ hesitation. The hesitation has been happening alot for the last few days and only once in a while before that. Then just now I went out to get some parts and she won't start. Electronic ignition an fuel injection are both new to me but I do have a good grasp of the concepts. Please point me in the right direction if you can.

Thanks
