Hey guys; A friend gave me an MSD-6a to use on my '85 1.9L. Jay has used these things on an older V8 Mustang, a nice looking Porsche 964 (think that's what it is -- front engine water cooled inline engine -- not 924 or 944), and a beater Volvo. According to Jay, he experienced a substantial increase in power and gas mileage in each case. According to MSD propoganda the multi spark discharge through 20 degrees of rotation is supposed to promote more complete combustion, etc.. The wiring of the box is going to require modification and I'll have to purchase their coil terminals and a tach adapter to use the thing. Anybody ever tried one of these on a wasserboxer? Any opinions? Chuck '85 Westy Weekender -- "Roland" Son Of Rollo (Deraly loved, sadly, departed '67 Deluxe) |
