Hermanand Listees: Try landing at the Nantahala Outdoor Center west of Bryson City NC. There's a nice campground a couple miles up the road from thee. App. trail crosses at the metal bridge over the Nantahala River. Absolute Mecca for hikers/mtn. bikers and paddlers. D o not miss eating at Reilia's Garden up the hill and engulf mass quantities of their herb bread. Try www.noc.com or search the full name for their website. They are employee owned and you may be tempted to take a raft trip down the relatively innocous Nantahala River while there. Website should have the private campground name. There's Tsali(usfs) on over towards the lake, but the private cg is within 2 miles of the trail and you could do an out an back either eastbound or westbound(really north or south I guess) and save shuttling costs. I need to get back there again.
