I've had to fix this problem on many different makes and models. It's a wire
with the insulation wore thruogh and grounding out. finding it involves
pulling your door panels and unplugging the soleniods one at a time. Once
you narrow it down to the right branch then you start looking at wires -
usally were they go into the door. I've had one exception to this and that
was the soleniod in the side door of a Chevy Van. You can check the
switches, but, I've only seen them fail to a non working condition, but any
thing is possible.
