Hi kids,

I was hoping the Vanagon Santa would slip four new tires into my sock this Christmmm but I know I have been bad this year what with converting to a Subaru so...

I took the bull by the horns and swapped the rims/tires off my 1971 ROADCOW and son of a gun.. They fit my 1984 Vanaru!! There was still quite a bit of meat on the '71 rims and the '84's were getting thin. (My billfold is a bit thin too, this time of year, that's why I did it.)

Anyway, it seems two items are sacred to German engineering and never change: 1. Rims 2. Valve covers!

Now if we could only get computers standardized to where they will stay the same for thirteen plus consecutive years, we would be in business!!
