I used foaming auto upholstery cleaner from Turtle Wax and it worked REALLY well. I vacuumed the flocking first thoroughly, and then foamed and brushed a small area at a time (maybe 2X2 feet). You'll also want to put some towels down to cover the foam mattress and wear something (even just light sunglasses) to protect your eyes from the occasional drip. (Also, do this outside with all the windows open!) And wear rubber gloves. Now, I think MY secret is that after brushing I was LIBERAL with my use of Bounty Paper towels (the ONLY paper towels that work IMHO) to mop up ("pat up') the foam from the flocking. Got LOTS of dirt out this way, and then vacuumed again at the end. The flocking looked great and its lighter color helped to brighten up the whole interior of the van a little. Also, for the record, I used a Turtle Wax product which contained "Odor X" -- their deodorizer. It smelled strong at first, but that quickly subsided and the resulting 'fresh"' (nearly unscented) smell of the flocking assured me of no lingering vanatosis. As for the mildew.....MAYBE there are some other foaming cleaners out there that deal with that. I wouldn't go near the flocking with bleach, but Lysol spray might help prevent recurrence This took longer than I had thought it would to do it right. A Saturday morning plus some....
