Do check voltage from the switch at the starter solinoid. If feed to the solinoid is good during the event, the solinoid ist caput. Otherwise, you have a switch problem (VERY likely). It could be either and this one test will point out the offender, but requires a multimeter, and not a $19.95 drug store model, but a $200 model that can be obtained for $50 to $75 dollars on the better internet buy/sell/auction sites. Lifetime value of accurate measures will ensue therefrom.
