Hi,

I am Bill James, new to the list, from Toronto, and own an '84 Westfalia since October. She spent a month in the bodyshop being restored and is in good mechanical condition. So far, so good. By the way, does anybody know of a devoted Vanagon mechanic in the GTA? Salim on Queen St. E. does seem fair and very honest so far, but not terribly interested in Vanagons or Westy's.

I love this vehicle! I have gone through the archives of the list and have learned a great deal. Congratulations! You all have built a most knowledgable and humane, sometimes silly site. I look forward to learning more and perhaps sharing more in the future. I also have planned a road trip through the southeast, with a final destination of Manatee Springs in N. Fla. to see these beautiful creatures. Had planned for this winter, but now have no time. I have tons of questions but will save them for later.

Bill PO of '68 Bug conv., '67 Ghia conv., '73 Ghia, '78 Rabbit, '82 Audi and wish I'd kept them all.
