A cheap option would be the complete removal of the rear heater. My van came with that heater already removed, and I haven't missed it yet.

Without the rear heater there's lots of space under that rear seat. which I filled up with a carver P4 and an 80ah deep cycle in a sealed box vented to the outside.

Still to be tested stealth camping in Tahoe (if we ever get some decent snow!)
