Dan, (and Todd), the green LED should work in both 12 volt and propane operation. It does not light in the 110volt mode. In my experience, the burner is impossible to light unless the fridge has been run for a short time either plugged in or running on 12 volts. I recently removed the fridge and cleaned the burner chamber, but still have to do a short warmup drill to get it to light.
