Subject: Build your own camper book from Eurocampers
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

I ordered the German language book, Jetzt helfe ich mir selbst, or Camping-Bus Selbstgebaut, from Steve Lashley.

My German is pretty rudimentary, but there's some interesting stuff in here just looking at the pics. Most interesting so far have been pictures of a camper built on a Doublecab, and 3 or 4 pages of "offroad" mods to protect engine, suspension, and spare tire. There's a chapter on insulation that I haven't waded through yet, but I can see plenty of pics of a guy spraying foam in every available (van) orifice.

The book is 250 pages with pics on every page. I think this cost me about $25.00. Seems like a good value if you're borderline obsessive (obsessive, me?).

I'm sensitive to copyright. Please don't send me mail asking for Xerox or scanned content. That said, I might see if I can run this through some OCR SW and then through Babelfish for my personal use. Anyone ever taken on a large scale translation task like this?

Call Steve, http://www.eurocampers.com if you want to pick this up.
