IMHO removing window tinting is a PITA at best.  = You have to use ammonia, which is foul enough stuff to begin = with.  Then when you spray it on, it runs down onto your cabinets, = floors, etc.

The technique is to spray the window with ammonia, = then cover it with plastic sheeting, sealed with tape.  Let it = soak for a couple hours, then scrap off with a razor.  You will = still have to spend a fair bit of time getting all the gunk off the = windows.

The good news is that in a Vanagon, at least all the = windows are relatively flat and easy to get to.  (I once did the = back window of a Scirocco, and I vowed that I would never do it = again)

Subject: How Difficult Is It To Remove Window = Tinting?

I am considering buying a van that has tinted = windows, and would like to know
how to remove the tinting. Is this a difficult = process, or pretty much a
no-brainer?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
