Subject: Re: Searching the archivesHi Brent, to what address do I email = the request to?Steve----- Original Message -----From: BRENT CHRISTENSENSent: Wednesday, March 15, = 2000 12:26 PMSubject: RE: Searching the archivesTry narrowing your search, or use the e-mail = method for searching - much faster and more reliable. Send e-mail to the = listserv address. Example:
SEARCH VANAGON variable1 AND variable2
I think you can get pretty creative with Boolean = statements, too.
You will receive a message back from Gerry with a = listing of all the messages that match. You then send back a message to = Gerry like this:
GETPOST VANAGON item1 item2 item3 item4 =
the "items" above will be numbers that reference = the different posts
works every time for me.
The only time I use the html search engine is when = I am searching for a specific date range or a specific author (like = looking up someone's e-mail address)

Brent Christensen
