Unscrewing the know won't do it.
There is a shaft at the pivot point in the arm that = connects to the back rest.
On that shaft, between the arm and the back rest is = a drift pin (I think that's the name).
The right tool is a punch of the correct size and a = hammer to drive the pin through the shaft and out the other side. You may be able = to do this with the seat in place. I took my seats out to do it. After the arm = is off there will be maybe 1 1/2 inches of shaft stub showing that comes out = from the back rest.

Does anyone know if = there's  a good way to remove the left passenger seat (left) arm on a 91 westy?  Do = you just unscrew the arm adjustment nob?  I am going to need the = space between the captains chairs to move around while traveling.
