Have ,89 Syncro and replaced sliding = door bearings with SKF 608-2RS1. Am not sure your Westy is same. Point is, = if you remove bearing you should be able to find replacement locally. = Price was around Cdn$10.00 each.

The lower bearing on my sliding door in = shot. Is this a common failure and am I safe to get a used one that seems to be in = good shape? How much is a new one though a list source? The VW = part # is 251 843 419 for just the bearing and 251 843 406A for the kit. VW = wanted $42.32 and $124.79, respectively.
