My '80 Westy had a severe rear = crankshaft seal leak, which I arranged to have
fixed.  Alas, the leak has come = back -- same puddles, same 1 Qt./300 Mi. leak
rate.  I'm guessing that = either the seal was damaged during installation, or
the crankshaft has = excessive endplay.  Also, shortly after picking it up from
the shop, I = checked the oil and it was overfilled by about half the distance
between the = "add" and "full" markings.  Could that have something to do with
it?  = Is there something else that could have caused the leak to come back, = that
I missed?
Thanks in advance for answers, advice and ubiquitous = off-topic (but nonetheless
entertaining) comments  :-)
