Put them in my 74 Beetle, they are the -only- way to go for the old non-solid state ignitions. This is Hall-sensor technology. I believe my 90 Vanagon's electronic ignition his a Hall-sensor distributor.
Buy one an be very happy.

I had a quick question about the Pertonix Points. I understand that they only work with vacuum advance distributors and are not for use with van's originally equipped with Electronic Ignition. Were any '80's originally equipped with Electronic Ignition, do all '80's use the vacuum advance dietributors? Any comments on the pro's and con's are appreciated. Thanks,
