I bought my first Vanagon this spring. =
I live in
Seattle and we had a lovely summer... lots of camping, cross state =
trips, etc...
what fun!!! I am planning on doing some minor Westy conversions when I =
can
afford it....
Okay, so being in the Pacific Northwest =
it rains,
and rains, and rains... My beautiful blue Vanagon likes to cut out when =
it's
wet! Once it comes to a coughing halt (in the middle of the Evergreen =
Point
Floating Bridge) it won't start until it sits for a couple of days....
I'm not a mechanic (I know, I know, =
what business
did I have buying a Vanagon??) but I am eager to learn as much as I can. =
I
replaced the "wires", rotor, distributor cap and plugs, but the same =
thing is
happening. I was thinking that the old wires might be shorting out in =
the wet...
Does anyone have any =
suggestions?
