Exceuse my ignorance but what is the = AFM and what does it do???

 

Air Flow Meter. It meters/measures the = amount of air being sucked into the ignition chambers.... sends the measurement = to the ECU...

Electronic Control Unit/computer that = keeps the mix of fuel and air and spark timing just right for optimum performance.
