Does the 1.9L waterboxer engine have a Knock Sensor in it? i= e. a sensor that detects whether a lifter is "knocking"

A knock sensor detects cylinder "detonation" (a condition of the = spark occurring to soon and thus the explosion pushes downward on an upward = moving piston) not lifter knocks.  Detonation is very bad for engine li= fe.
And no, the 1.9L does  not have such a device.
If you have a lifter knocking there are several suggestions others can make= for remedies. You can also search the archives.
