      Tom, the situation with the Spam on= the List is fine.  The amount
getting through is negligible.  = ;Everyone needs to learn how to use their
delete key !  Closing the= List to members only will just make life more
difficult for those membe= rs who have not realised the need for a universal
e-mail address that ca= n be used from any location.  Once we all do this then
maybe we cou= ld close the list to members only.  Meanwhile use the DELETE key
! =  Some of that Spam may inadvertently be coming from List members who hi= t
the forward option on that nice little offer and send it to their comp= lete
mail list, the Vanagon List being included !  Some self polici= ng is needed
also.
