I think itwas Bill D. that suggested =
going to a
hose shop and having a stainless steel #4 Aeroqup teflon hose made =
forthe remote
mounting of the VDO electric OP sender and I was wondering where the new =
mounting location ended up(by driver's side head or to the rear?), how =
it was
attached and to what, and how long the hose needed to be. I'm =
assuming
that you went male 1/8" on one end and female on the other. =
This is a great idea. My local hose =
making place
quopted me a price of $12 for a hose up to 18 " in length. VDO =
wanted way
more than that and you're getting a swedged fitting on each end.
I'm giving up on my conglomeration of =
brass elbows,
nipples, and T connectors when I put the new motor in. I will =
still have a
brass T in the block so I can use the factory sender(90 GL) which would =
give me
the option of going to either the side or the rear. =
