I have a feeling you will be OK.  As you may know VW has stopped issuing = "letters of conformity" to people UNLESS they are moving to the USA - otherwise = they would have to seek the services of a "registered = importer".

Subject: Importing vans to the US = from Canada

Help!

Does anyone have experience with = importing Vanagons/Eurovans into the US from Canada?

I am looking at buying a used camper, but I = know I am going to be moving to the US in the fall. VW says the van(s) I am = looking at MAY be ok, but that they can't say for sure until I own the van. Of = course, I don't want to own the van, if I can't bring it with me. So I am stuck. =

Does anyone know whether VW's are ok to import = in general? For certain years?
