since ive just dealt with the infamous = shear bolts, i thought i would report my experience. indeed they are easy to = get out with a pair of vice grips, no drilling is needed. (which by = the way means they arent much of a theft protection system - even tho i = personally believer this is their purpose). im going to replace them with new = ones i got at the local vw dealer, for a whopping sum of $7.92 for the pair, = kind of expensive, i know, but worth peace of mind ...
