Don't scrap the ECU yet! My understanding is that virtually any ECU will shut off the fuel pump if it sees no oil pressure (except at startup). Intended obviously to save the engine if the oil pressure crashes. So, what information is being fed to the ECU to make it think that there is no oil pressure? Or, maybe the ECU is not getting the info that the no pressure situation that it sees actually is a startup. That would say to me to start checking wiring between the ECU and the "start" or "run" position of the ignition switch. How 'bout this: Is your ECU getting 12V? Maybe it's power source is dead. Jeez don't buy and ECU until you exhaust every possible malfunction outside of it.

My fuel pump is not working.

I have been troubleshooting: starting from the pump motor, then the relay and finally at the ECU connector.

To make a long story short, when I jumper pins 3 and 13 on the ECU connector, the fuel pump runs, indicating that everything down the line is working properly. I have checked and cleaned all the connections on the ECU and connector and it still does not work.

Should I blow the $ 600+ US on a new or rebuilt ECU, should I wire a switch under the dash to run the fuel pump or are there more tests I should do to figure out the problem?
