The little filter basket in the top of =

Vanagon's brake fluid reservoir
has quite a bit of
brown gunk (not particulate, more like chemical) in it. =
Seems
like the basket should lift out, but it =
doesn't
seem to want to.
Does the basket come out, or should I =
just "turkey
baster" the stuff out? Or just
leave the gunk in there for good =
luck?
