im posting this message in the service = of my neighbor. a nice guy who lives down the street from me, bob, has = an air cooled 83 vanagon westfalia that he wants to sell. here's the = deal: i guess at some point, the engine sprung a fairly serious oil leak, and = bob tried to find and figure it out, but couldnt. since then, it has = been sitting in front of his house, without oil, and pushed back and forth = across the street twice a week (street cleaning). the guy is pretty good with cars and maintenance, so other than the engine, its in pretty = good shape, clean body, very little rust, interior good to excellent shape, canvas on pop top excellent. since deciding to get rid = of it, he has 'parted' it out a little bit, including taking out the stove/refridgerator unit to install in his next camper, whenever that = comes into existence. essentially, this van is for sale, keeping in mind = everything said above. if interested, contact me, and i can answer questions = for you, and if needed put you in touch with bob. also, if there is demand, = i can take some pictures and post them online somewhere.
