im posting this message in the = service of my neighbor. a nice guy who lives down the street from me, bob, has = an air cooled 83 vanagon westfalia that he wants to sell. here's the deal: i guess at some point, the engine sprung a fairly serious = oil leak, and bob tried to find and figure it out, but couldnt. = since then, it has been sitting in front of his house, without oil, and pushed = back and forth across the street twice a week (street cleaning). the guy = is pretty good with cars and maintenance, so other than the engine, = its in pretty good shape, clean body, very little rust, interior good to = excellent shape, canvas on pop top excellent. since deciding to get = rid of it, he has 'parted' it out a little bit, including taking out the stove/refridgerator unit to install in his next camper, whenever that = comes into existence. essentially, this van is for sale, keeping in = mind everything said above. if interested, contact me, and i can = answer questions for you, and if needed put you in touch with bob. = also, if there is demand, i can take some pictures and post them online somewhere.
