You should be aware that the manufacturers of most exhaust wrap products have
a disclaimer on their boxes that use of the product will void header
manufacturers warranties.  The Pegasus Racing catalog specifically states
that wrapping will reduce header life span.  I don't know (yet) how this will
be affected by ceramic coatings or paint.

Also, the manufacturers recommend that the wrap be painted once it is in
place and dried.

If you remove the pipes, paint them with a good paint (even have then
ceramic
coated) and then wrap them, the paint might not burn off and then be better
able to protect the pipes.

If your pipes are rusty to begin with, removing them and painting and
wrapping them can extend the life.
