I need some tips on this too = as I need to take my sliding window out on the sink side to stop it from leaking down = the inside of the panel and making the rust worse then it is = now.

HELP!!! I need to know = how to install a sliding side window and the big hatch window. I have new = glass, the old ones are out, the rubber is pristine and now ready to put them = back in. Do I need two people and use that old string-in-the-groove trick? Need to lubicate anything? The vanagon doesn't run = so I can't take it to the glass shop and they want $100 to make house = calls. I know many of you have done this before and I've done it on many a = beetle but these windows are BIG!!
