I was checking my distributor, and the wires seem to be attached in the
wrong order. The book says order should be 1-4-3-2, mine is connected
either 1-2-4-3 or 1-3-4-2, depending on which way you go around the
distributor. So anyone know-should it be clockwise or counterclockwise?

Thanks,

Hi,

From the rear of the engine looking down. Rotor rotation, clockwise.
Firing order 1. 4. 3. 2.
If the distributor is set as the book, the dist. cap wires should be,
Cylinder #1 top left.
            #2 bottom left
            #3 Bottom right.
            #4 top right.
The only cross of wires is #3 and #4.

If the engine is running well I'm sure you will find the above.
