has always been available in Canada through Bow Wow or other =
after-market
shops.
They import it directly from Germany.

dealers in
Canada only sell the red and blue original bearings.
Does that mean the main bearing that you and Bus Depot and others
stock
is not the same as the VW dealer bearings, which do cost twice =
the
price?
According to Bentley, page 13.53
either one, blue or red, =
could
have been used originally even on
the same crankshaft.
Apparently =
one has
to match up the red or blue bearings corresponding
to the dots on the =
crankshaft next to each main bearing.
So it seems to me, to be sure, =
one has
to buy one blue and one red set,
and then match =
them.
