out several weeks,
it was
pretty much my court of last resort. (Because the shield is =
nearly
the exact same
size
as the hole below it (a shade smaller) - I felt =
less comfortable
tapping it out.)
Will
move on to the woodscrew method, and if that fails - will try drilling =
them in
half.

it won't warp the head. Heating then dousing the heat shields =

are in the head is an extraordinarily bad idea.
Soak with a =
crud
cutter (like WD-40, Bra-kleen, etc) and tap them gently all around =
the
periphery for about 2 minutes each. Then use the wood screw idea.
